Excited to be joining in for Kylie's Monthly Blog Hop for January! If you are new to my blog, I am Nature, a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator from Aurora, Ontario, Canada.

Valentine's Day is only a month away so I am starting to prepare for that. My son is now at an age where he knows what is what in regards to special events so he will be getting (maybe?) his first Valentine's card from me.

I really wanted to do a Valentine's Card in non-traditional Valentine's colours but my son's favourite colour is currently red therefore so is this card!  Not to worry I have since gotten my daughter's Valentine's card made and  I got to play with a fun colour combo! I will be sharing that one next week.

For this card I used Stampin' Up!'s Meant To Be stamp set and coordinating dies. I also used Stampin' Up!'s A Wish for Everything Bundle . This bundle has both inside and outside sentiments as well as dies for almost any occasion.

To make this card  I first watercoloured on shimmery white card stock using Real Red ink and brushes of different widths, being sure to allow each layer to dry before putting down another. I used my heat tool to speed up the process.

I heat embossed in white and stamped in Real Red over top of the watercolour layer before distressing the paper.

The inside of the largeest heart was die cut in Lovely Lipstick card stock then embossed using the tufted embossing folder and painted with Wink Of Stella for gorgeous shimmer!

I finished off the card by adding a bow made with Stampin' Up!'s Whisper White 1/4" crinkled seam binding ribbon.

Meant To Be Valentine's Card

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed my card. Be sure to keep hopping and check out all the projects from the rest of these fabulous demonstrators.

Happy Stamping!

All the supplies used to make this card can be purchased through my online store.

    1. Thank so much Melinda! Do you have any rabbits yourself? I was surprised by what great pets they are. We love them.

    2. I sure do. Her name is Bebe, she is a rescue Rabbit. She is a ginger ( my favourite hair colour ever!) Lop. We got her on Australia Day 3 years ago. She has changed everything I ever thought I knew about Rabbits. Her affection is off the charts! She brings so much blessings to us :-)

    3. So sweet! I really wanted a ginger/blonde rabbit but we ended up with two very different looking white ones. That being said, my daughter is a red head and my son is blonde so I guess I have to settle for that. HAHA
