Welcome to Inspire. Create. Stamping Challenge #42! This week's challenge is a theme challenge: Baby

This past fall I had the opportunity to enter several of my paper crafting projects in a local fall fair. The theme for the fair last year was also baby! I have already shared one of those projects with you.....a slider shaker card for baby which you can check out here. That card won first place in its category (all credit to SU for making such wonderful products to work with)!

I thought that given the theme for this week's challenge that I would share the rest of my baby projects with you in a Baby Bonanza! In addition to my Lovely Baby hand stamped gift box, I have also have 3 more cards and a hand stamped gift tag. They are all quite different. I am going to post one a day for the next several days. By the end you can find them all here:

Hello Baby Card (Day Two)

Welcome Baby Fancy Fold Card (Day Three)

Welcome Little One Gift Tag (Day Four)

Congratulations Hand Stamped Card (Day Five)

Here is my lovely baby gift box. It also won first place in its category. It is the perfect size for a set of pacifers, teethers, or a hand knit baby cap and booties. Or if you are feeling extra crafty you could even create a co-ordinating 4.5 X 4.5 mini album to put inside! Hmmmm....an idea for later maybe??....*checks DSP stash*

The gift box uses Stampin' Up!'s Share What You Love suite and Stitched Labels Framelits along with the Lined Alphabet bundle. I love all the texture and colours I was able to add to this box using the paper, dies and subtle embossing folder

To make the box I used Stampin' Up's Simply Scored Scoring Tool. The box measures 5 x 5 with 1.75 inch sides. So to make the base I used a 12 x 12 sheet of paper and scored at 1.75 inches and 3.5 inches from each side. Then cut as per the second picture below and folded in to make the sides. I used TomBow Multipurpose Adhesive to glue it together. The Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper is a great weight for making boxes!

This picture was not edited. Don't mind the plate. Sometimes I snack and craft ;-)

The lid measures 5.25 x 5.25 inches with .75 inch sides. So to make the lid I used a 8.25 x 8.25 sheet of DSP and scored at .75 inches and 1.5 inches from each edge, then assembled the same as I did the box.

I hope you were inspired by this project and my other baby projects. Be sure to check out the other cards from the inspire.create. design team members and submit a baby project of your own!

Please comment below or message me if you have questions about any of the supplies I used. All the supplies used to make this card can be purchased (while supplies last) in my online store.

Happy Stamping!
