Welcome to the December Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop! This is my first hop in this group so I was excited to be able to get a page together with all the holiday craziness that happens around this time of year.

The theme for this month's blog hop is Holiday Happenings. I always have so many pictures from Christmas that getting them all into a scrapbook can seem overwhelming. This is why I usually opt to use pocket pages. This year however I am mixing in some some fun mixed media pages. Stampin' Up!'s Santa's Workshop Suite is making my holiday memory keeping super easy  with its co-ordinating Memories & More cards. My Santa's Workshop mixed media layout features the Santa's Workshop Suite and it will co-ordinate so nicely with the pocket pages for this year!

This page was inspired by a post (using non Stampin Up products) I saw on Instagram by Tracy McLennon. I liked her layout and wanted to put my own Stampin' Up! twist on it.

The picture is of my daughter dressed up for a holiday dinner with my dad, sisters, nieces and nephews! We had 3 toddlers, a 6 month old baby and a 4 year old at our table and nothing got broken and no one had a meltdown. It was a Christmas miracle!!

To make this page I watercoloured the sky on watercolour paper using Balmy Blue and Pool Party ink refills. I fussy cut 3 hills out of Whisper White cardstock then embossed them using Stampin' Up!'s Softly Falling Embossing folder. Finally, I added DSP on the bottom of the page.

The "Making Spirits Bright" sentiment on the bottom of the page is from Stampin' Up!'s Making Christmas Bright stamp set and I used Stampin Write Markers in Poppy Parade, Pool Party and Garden Green.

For the sake of time I opted to fussy cut out the characters from the Designer Series Paper rather than stamping and colouring them.

The tag at the top of the page is cut from Poppy Parade cardstock and the Brushwork Lettering stamps were heat embossed in white. The Garden Green card with Jingle bells lyrics behind it is from the Memories & More card pack. I also used some of the stickers from the pack for the trees and Merry Christmas Embellishment.

The Santa's Workshop Enamel finished off the page and added the snowflakes in the sky.

I hope you enjoyed your stop here! Be sure to visit the other blogs on this hop by clicking the link below. Next up is Australian demo Courtenay Heuston!
