Hi Friends,

I hope everyone is getting settled in their new fall routines. We went away last week for the long weekend before getting started on some new routines of our own. My son started Montessori preschool last week! I spent some time putting together some first day of school treats for the teachers which I will share with you later.

Today I wanted to share with you some "Welcome" cards I have made to welcome new team members to my Stampin' Up! family.

Quick & Easy Version:

The quick and easy version of my "Welcome" card looks complicated but it actually is not.

I used Stampin' Up!'s Artisan Textures stamp set and stamped on 4 x 5.25 glossy white cardstock in multiple colours.

My card was designed to reflect the colours and style of my logo and I love the way this turned out. I stamped each colour 2-3 times using the largest stamp and layered the colours on top of each other. I used Soft Sea Foam, Pool Party, Mint Macaron and Balmy Blue. The Glossy paper is the key to getting this to look like it is painted without using any paint or water!

The sentiment was stamped using Stampin' Up!'s Lined Alphabet set in Night of Navy ink on 5.5 x 2.5 vellum cardstock and attached it to the background using glue dots.

Tip #1 : Use the stamparatus to get perfectly lined letters.

Tip#2: When attaching the vellum to the background, place the glue dots where you will want to adhere your sequins. This will prevent the glue dots from showing through the vellum.

I attached the background to the white card base using dimensionals and added sequins using glue dots and the fine tip glue pen.

Experienced & Embellished Version:

The embellished version of this card is quite similar to the first. The backgrounds are made exactly the same, however I added some gold metallic thread under the vellum and heat embossed the sentiment in gold.

Tip #3: An embossing buddy is a must for embossing on vellum!

If you CASE this card I'd love to see pictures of the colours you chose! Click on the product links below to shop for supplies now.

Happy Stamping!
