Hey everyone!

I have a special papercrafting projecting to share with you today! I was in need of a mobile for my daughter's crib and after looking at ones online and in the stores had been unable to find one I liked. Then a few weeks ago it occured to me that I had everything I needed to make one myself! And I could customize it to make it perfectly co-ordinate with her space. I absolutely love how the Dream Catcher mobile turned out!

Dream Catcher Mobile

The dream catcher mobile was difficult to photograph in situ, so I took  a video also. Pictures don't really do it justice though.

With the exception of the 6" MDF floral ring, all other supplies I used are from Stampin' Up and currently available. The gold ribbon is on special in the clearance rack. If that sells out you can subsitiute with the Gold Metallic Edge ribbon in the annual catalogue.

To make the mobile I wrapped the MDF ring with the ribbon and left a little length at the end to make the hanger. The other half of the hanger uses gold metallic thread.

The dream catchers and feathers are die cut from gold foil, basic grey and blushing bride cardstock.

The gold foil dream catchers use 4 die cuts each and the cardstock ones use 3 dies cuts each. I adhered them using Fast Fuse (also available on the clearance rack while supplies last. and used a toothpick to clean out any adhesive "webs". You can also die cut them on adhesive sheets.

The dream catcher mobile  is hung using the gold metallic thread and a piece of thread is also run across the middle of the MDF ring so that I could hang all the feathers in the centre of the mobile.

I found it easier to hang just the ring of the mobile first and attach all the dream catchers and feather once it was hanging. Everything is attached with gold metallic thread.

It is so light it almost looks like everything is hanging in mid-air and is gorgeous when the light catches it. It also turns on it own with just the little bit of air flow in the room! I couldn't be happier with how this dream catcher mobile turned out!

Feel free to message me or comment below if you have any questions about this project. You can find links to shop for supplies below.

Happy crafting!
