This Christmas Wreath

in , by Nature Gibner - Ink N Inspiration, 12:20
Here is my the Christmas version of the wreath I had made for Halloween. I love how easy it was to coordinate the Stampin' Up! designer series paper with the cardstock I needed for the pine needles and berries and ribbon. It looks lovely hanging above the fireplace in my craft space (Our Christmas tree décor may have been inspired by it.... #everythinglooksbetteringoldandgreen)Christmas WreathChristmas WreathChristmas Wreath

Christmas is coming! Life is super busy these days, but exciting nonetheless. My first craft show was successful, I considered doing more shows, but at this stage in life I am focusing on being a mom first, so additional craft shows will have to wait until next year. This is my son's second Christmas, but it will be his first where he will really be taking things in and getting excited about all the new Christmas-y décor and festivities.   As we count down to Christmas, I thought I'd share one of the pieces I made for the show. I only had time to make one, but received  an order for another for a gift, so am in the process of making another (well, two actually, because I want one for us!) This is a reusable and reversible advent calendar. Each pocket contains a treat and once emptied you flip the pocket over. By Christmas Eve the reversed pockets spell out a special Christmas message.  This version was made using Stampin' Up!  Presents and Pinecones Designer Series Paper and washi tape and the numbers were made using their gold foil .  **Can you spot the oops! in the first picture below?advent calendaradvent calendaradvent calendar

Christmas Crazies

I decided to do something slightly crazy and sign up for a craft show at the end of the month. I only had about 3.5 weeks to get ready and I have been working on projects every chance I get. With one week til the show, I am on a serious time crunch. Here are two of the Christmas gifts I have made and will be selling at the show. The first is a Hand Warmer slider gift pack and the second is a Candy Cane Hot Chocolate slider gift pack. They are called sliders because, when you pull up on the ribbon, the contents slide up out of the pack. Personally, I don't think these pictures do them justice.hand warmer sliderhot chocolate slider

Something Good To Eat

This Halloween is special in that this is the first year that my son is old enough to go out and enjoy Halloween. That being said, he still isn't old enough to Trick or Treat so I thought I would do something different. Instead of collecting a bunch of candy, I've decided to hand out treat bags to the grown-ups as we go door-to-door. I used some of my left over Halloween Night Designer series paper, various punches and kraft bags to put dark chocolate goodies in.Halloween treat bags

Halloween Night Wreath

I had been seeing a lot of paper wreaths popping up on various feeds and I thought I would try putting my own spin on them .  I found a wire wreath frame at Dollar Tree and used the Halloween Night designer series paper, baker's twine, triple banner punch and paper snips to create mine. I will be putting up a tutorial on the wreath  in the near future. This is another project I plan on tweaking for Christmas.

Halloween Goodies

I decided to put together some Halloween treat bags for some of my coworkers with some grown up goodies inside. I used the 2" x 8" cello bags, Halloween Night designer series paper, the Sept 2016 paper pumpkin stamp set, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie  and Perfect Plum ink, cardstock and candy dots, and the Halloween Cookie Cutter stamp set and Cookie Cutter punch. I'm definitely going to make something similar to use as stocking stuffers this Christmas!

No Tricks, Just Treats

I was asked if I would create some tags for Halloween party goodie bags. This is what I came up with. I used the stamp set from the Sept 2016  Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin kit, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive inks, the scalloped tag topper punch and the Halloween baker's twine from the 2016 Holiday Catalogue.
