Thanks for stopping by! My  Witches Brew project for the International Stamping Partner’s Blog Hop features the Merry Cafe stamp set from Stampin’ Up!’s just released 2017 Hoilday Catalogue!

As some of you know Stampin’ Up! has different sales zones throughout the globe. Demonstrators can only sell to cutomers within their region. As the web is international domain a few of us decided to join together to make sure our international viewers were able to easily connect with a demonstrator in their region to order from. International stampin’ service!! You can check out all our contact info below.

We decided to put together a blog hop for you today to help celebrate the release of Stampin’ Up!’s 2017 Holiday Catalogue and show off some of the amazing stamp sets! I chose to use the Merry Cafe set as you can make projects for Christmas, Thanksgiving AND Halloween using this set.

This blog hop was supposed to be a video blog hop. So I apologize as I did not realize this until the last minute and had only prepared a written blog and photo. My Witches’ Brew Treat Cup project is fairly straight forward though so most experienced stamper’ and paper crafters should be able to follow along without a video. Sometime in the near future I will do a  video of this project and switch up the occasion so you can see what it could look like as a Christmas or Thanksgiving treat cup too! So be sure to keep checking back.

I don’t typically give out Halloween Cards but I love using Halloween products to make treat packages and home decor. For today, I opted to make this Witches Brew spooky treat cup using a mini coffee cup I purchased in a set of 10 from a dollar store. I’m looking forward to being able to give these out at work on Halloween!

I already owned Stampin’ Up’s Coffee Cafe bundle so as soon as I saw the Merry Cafe stamp set I knew I had to have it! For this project I combined the Merry Cafe stamp set with the Spooky Cat stamp set and the Coffee Cafe thinlits. This project also features the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper and the vintage crochet trim. The window box in the picture is not part of the treat cup.

How To for Witches Brew:

I filled about half of a Stampin’ Up! 2 x 8 cello bag with candy  and tied it off using the pumpkin pie stitched edge ribbon and vintage crochet trim. I tied the ribbon in a knot and the trim in a bow.

All the thinlits used are from the Coffee Cafe set. I used the large cup thinlit to cut the cup out of the Spooky Night Designer series paper. The lid thinlit cut out the black cardstock and  the small oval thinlit cut out more DSP (which I had pre stamped with “A CUP OF” in basic black ink). I assembled all three using Fast Fuse and SNAIL adhesive.

I then used the open sleeve thinlit (not the solid textured one) to cut a sleeve out of pumpkin pie cardstock, then stamped the web in pumpkin pie and the witches brew in basic black. I adhered this to the DSP cup using Fast Fuse.

The black rhinestone embellishments add some great dimension and texture!

I used dimensionals on the bottom and middle of the DSP coffee cup and glue dots at rim height to adhere it to the mini coffee cup.

I  then placed the bag in the  decorated mini coffee cup and put other candies and chocolates around it to keep it upright.  To top it off I stuck the stamped witches hat from the Spooky Cat stamp set (which I fussy cut with paper snips) to the cello bag using glue dots.
