I have been playing with a new Stampin’ Up! stamp set recently and working on my photography skills and thought I would share some of my recent projects with you. All 3 cards feature the Happy Celebrations stamp set which is carrying over from the Occasions catalogue to the new 2017-2018 annual catalogue. I will post a tutorial featuring this stamp set in the not so distant future. This set is quite versatile and allows room for SO much artistic expression. I used watercolour techniques on two of the cards and basic stamping on the other. For this first card I wet the watercolour prior to stamping the HAPPY background colours and allowed the ink to bleed. After the paper dried I stamped the HAPPY outline.
On this second card I used the HAPPY embossing folder to deboss prior to wetting the shimmery white cardstock. After I stamped the background on the wet paper I used the aqua painter to add more water and blend the colour further. Can you tell I adore the ruched ribbon? It is retiring but you can replace it with one the fabulous new ribbons from the upcoming 2017-2018 catalogue! This card also feature the new glitter enamel dots…so much shimmer!
The final card for today uses the Celebrate embossing folder. I am a big fan of this one and you are likely to see me using it frequently. The happy and celebrate embossing folders come as set, double the fun! This card also features the Birthday Banners stamp set. The glimmer dots and ruched ribbon give this card its pizzazz!
