Today is the first post in my 28 Days of Christmas Blog Series! For the first day of Christmas window box I used the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper along with the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper. I I have decided to stick with these two sets of paper for the whole project.
To embellish this window box I used a Lots of Labels framelit die, a piece of old olive ribbon, mini black sequins, pearl basic jewels, and the Pretty Pines thinlits to cut out the pine branches in Garden Green cardstock. The Number of Years dies will be used on all the boxes to die cut the numbers for the boxes out of foil cardstock. I also used the second smallest square from the Stitched Shape Framelits to cut out 3 side panels for this window box. There are only 3 decorated sides as the other sides will be affixed to other boxes. I will add decorative squares on all exposed side panels of all the boxes, with the exception of the gold foil window box at the top.
If you are creating your own version, don’t feel like you have to make every box different. I wanted to show 28 different ways of embellishing these window boxes. You could do the same design on all the boxes and it would look fabulous!
I hope you enjoyed this First Day of Christmas window box! 27 more to go!
