Today’s post is inspired by my son. He turned 2 yesterday so I made him this card which features some of his favourite things: books, dogs, bikes and balloons! He has a red bike which helped with the colour combo for this card. This card was also my first play with embossing paste. I made my own mask using the 2 die from the Large Numbers framelits and coloured the paste with re-inker. What I learned: Only one drop of re-inker is needed and make sure you paste is completely dry before attempting to run it through your big shot! Also, If you get any paste on your plates make sure to clean them immediately! I forgot to include Dazzling Diamonds glitter in the product list below. I sprinkled that on top of the wet embossing paste to give the “2” some shimmer. I also used some retired red embossing powder on top of the red bike image, but you could use the clear embossing powder and achieve a similar result. The final version of this card looked nothing like the original concept I had it my head but I really love how it turned out!
I think he liked it!
