Lovely Lily Pad "Thanks Friend" Card

Hi! I most certainly hope your week is going better than mine. I will fill you all in later once the dust settles, but for now I am happy to be focused on something much more productive and fulfilling...sharing this card with you!

My project for today is a hand stamped card featuring the Lovely Lily Pad Sale-A-Bration suite from Stampin' Up!

One of the things I love about this suite is that the B side of the Lily Impressions designer series paper co-ordinates so well with the dies that I was able to stamp and die cut on the DSP to get the shades I wanted for my lily pad and flower. No colouring required!

I even threw in a few pieces from some other DSP packs because I liked the look so much.

When die cut, the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper adds a lot of texture and depth and looks painted but is not. I added some Wink of Stella for extra shimmer.

The "Thanks" die cut on my card is actually the Thanksgiving die cut from the Word Wishes dies which I trimmed down. You may remember I also used these dies for the Valentine cards I made for my children this year. You can find those blog posts here: Mr. P's Valentine Card, Ms. C's Valentine Card.

This really was such a fun card and simple card to make and I love how it turned out.

I have entered this card in  Kylie's International Blog Highlights for February.  The theme this month is once again Thank You. Please check out the gallery below and vote for me by clicking the heart on the thumbnail with my card.

The stamps, dies and designer series paper used in this card can only be earned for FREE through Sale-A-Bration. Want to earn them? Ask me how or check out the Sale-A-Bration flyer on the sidebar details, then shop my store!

Thanks for stopping by. I will be back on Wednesday with TWO projects for our upcoming inspire.create challenge.

Happy Stamping!
