Bird Ballad With Sympathy Card

Thanks for stopping by. A special Hello! to those who have found me through Kylie's Monthly Demonstrator Training Blog hop!

For those of you who are following me, I mentioned last week that life had been a little challenging as of late. The short version of that story is that we have to move ( we have lived here for 8 months). Apparently the landlord wants to move in. Which, to be honest is a little unbelievable, as helives in a mansion up the hill a few hundred feet away...

Apparently, he didn't expect a family to be living in the house and he is concerned about his "investment", god forbid his laminate floors get scuffed. They are fine by the way, we have taken excellent care of his "investment". HEADLINE: Millionaire kicks family out of their home because he is concerned about his laminate floors getting walked on too much... I wish I was joking...

Anyways... like I said, we have to move, it sucks. We have put in a rental offer on a place and should hear back about it later today. Fingers crossed! I am dreading the packing and unpacking process. Hopefully, I will be able to do some new craft room/ office before and after tours for you though!

With all this going on it may be a little slower around the blog for a little while as we transition.

Well enough about all that, let's get to to today's project!

This card I made for a new coworker as she was telling me about a friend who's beloved pet bird died and she had no idea how to find a sympathy card for the occasion. I'm 90% sure she had no idea I made cards at the time she was talking about it. In anycase I told her I could make one for her.

I, of course, chose to use Stampin' Up!'s Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.

I combined it with some of the Magnolia Lane Designer series paper as the background.

A little fussy cutting and a quick watercolour wash background embellishment and I ended up with card I was really happy with.

And so was she :-)

Thanks for reading! All of the supplies used in for this card are available to purchase through my online store. Be sure to keep hopping and check out the other featured projects for the month.

Happy Stamping!
